Wrote eight nonfiction books, edited several additional books, wrote magazine articles and promotional material for publishers such as Zondervan, Baker, InterVarsity, Revell, Christianity Today, Campus Life, Marriage Partnership, Wingspan, New Man, Lexington Kids and Salon.

Editor, U magazine (6-85 to 4-88)
Strategized, planned and supervised content and production of this seven-times-yearly magazine for college students published by InterVarsity. Selected, edited and wrote articles. Supervised two assistant editors, as well as art, production and circulation staff. Had full responsibility for budget. U received a "Most Improved Periodical" award from the Evangelical Press Association after my first year as editor.

Associate Editor, Campus Life magazine (9-80 to 5-85)
Planned, strategized, edited and wrote material for this monthly magazine for high-school students. Conducted interviews with students and wrote an average of one article per issue along with a monthly inductive Bible study column. Edited a monthly, 8-page Leader's Guide providing resources, Bible studies, discussion questions and meeting ideas for youth leaders. Coauthored one book and edited three others. Wrote promotional copy.

Assistant Editor, Christianity Today magazine (2-79 to 8-80)
Evaluated manuscripts, edited articles, proofread all copy, wrote several news stories and editorials, assisted with editorial planning.
